H line variations in the Be star binary LSI+61o303
Received 3 December 1999 / Accepted 1 March 2000
The Be star LSI +61o303 shows an orbital variation in the ratio of the equivalent width of the blue wing to that of the red wing of the H line profile. This variation is shown to be due to the obscuration caused by the post shock gas of a shock produced by the supersonic orbital motion of the secondary through the gas disk of the Be star.
