Since then many authors have elaborated on both theoretical and observational aspects of the problem(Dyson 1969, Ashby and Dreitlein 1975). In quest for still lower frequencies in the microhertz regions, Mashhoon and his collaborators studied the secular changes in the orbital parameters of binaries and in the Earth-Moon and Earth-Mars distances (Mashhoon 1979, Mashhoon et al. 1981, Anderson & Mashhoon 1985).
