Abstract

We present H [FORMULA] direct imaging and shell spectroscopic observations of two classical novae: FH Ser 1970 and QU Vul 1984. The distances, reddenings, luminosities at maximum, and the mass of the shell ejected by FH Ser are derived and discussed.

Key words: galaxies: individual: NGC 1380 – novae: cataclysmic variables – stars: distances
