4. CCD photometry

Photometry for the confirmed nearby candidates was acquired on the photometric nights of 1997 April 30 and 1997 April 31 at the Bernard Lyot Telescope at Pic du Midi. The filters were Johnson's V,R and Gunn i. Few observations were made in the R and i filters and therefore the results concerning these two colors should be considered as indicative. For calibration we used stars from Landolt's sequences (1992). The photometry was reduced using DAOPHOT. We present in Table 7 the derived colors of the parallax stars and of the Gliese's parallax reference star (G180-060).
