In this work we selected a list of good candidates to parallax using Schmidt plate observations. We observed 20 of these candidates with a longer focal length telescope equiped with a CCD camera and we measured for 6 of them a detectable parallax that places these objects within 40pc from the Sun with accuracies on parallaxes better than 20 per cent. One of these objects appears to be a high proper motion star absent (to our knowledge) from high proper motions surveys. The results presented here fully validate the method proposed here for the systematic detection of nearby stars. Now large CCD should replace in such a project the use of Schmidt plates. The selection criterion will be much more efficient than with Schmidt plates. This will allow to select new candidates and to measure their parallax with a good accuracy only within two years.
