5. Conclusion
We have presented 5 GHz VLBI images of ten extremely high
redshift ( ) quasars including the most
distant radio loud quasar known to date (1428+423,
). Most of the sources are well
resolved and their morphology is asymmetric. Based on fitted Gaussian
source model components, we have determined the jet to core flux
density ratios. The values obtained are typical of high redshift radio
quasars for sources in the redshift range
. However, the most distant radio
loud quasar, 1428+423, appears to be unusually compact.
