5. Conclusion

We have determined the contamination of the observed IR flux by the accretion disk in V616 Mon. We obtained IR spectra of V616 Mon which when optimally subtracted from the secondary star spectrum (K3V star) allows us to determine the 2-[FORMULA] upper limit to the accretion disc contribution to be less than 27 percent. We find that this only increases the determination of the binary inclination by less than 7 degrees; the mass of the black hole is decreased by less than 3.6 [FORMULA].
