Received 15 January 1999 / Accepted 14 April 1999 Abstract Energy dissipation on collisions of grain aggregates is investigated taking into account effects by sintering. It is shown that sintering significantly reduces the energy dissipation efficiency because contacts between adjacent grains become strong by sintering. Key words: solar system:
